How do I get patches for Magento 1?
No security updates
Magento 1 is one of the most popular e-commerce systems in the world. For over 10 years, large and small retailers trust in it. Magento has been working on a successor for a long time and officially released Magento 2 on 11/17/2015.
Contrary to initial expectations, a change from Magento 1 to Magento 2 is not a small update, but a lengthy and costly process in which many parts of the system must be rewritten and rethought.
This change is (currently) too costly for many merchants, especially in regard to the time already invested in Magento 1 and the corresponding budgets.
In June 2020, Magento will now discontinue the official security updates and will not publish any updates for Magento 1 anymore. This means that hundreds of thousands of retailers will have no reliable software in the future.
We take care
of your security!
